Title: BX-DM1E-10ER3-D with abnormal digital inputs
Post by: Kristjan on January 23, 2023, 05:46:18 PM
I have a BX-DM1E-10ER3-D with no extra modules. Serial #: 02222A4B306273

No signal on inputs, all status LEDs are off. Data View shows both X1 and X3 ON.
When I short a signal to X3 then Data View shows X1 OFF and X3 ON. Removing signal from X3 => X1 ON and X3 ON.

I have upgraded firmware, cleared memory and Re-initialized I/O to no avail.

Could this be related to a known issue?

Maybe check your commons?

Commons for digital inputs are 24vdc and I sure checked - even more than once  :D

I set up another BRX of same type, moved the terminal blocks unchanged and everything was OK there.

Sounds like a hardware issue with your BRX10. We may be able to repair. Send email to support@hosteng.com

Adding to this thread for future reference:
We have another thread on the -10s not being identified correctly by Do-More Designer (thread on CPU type). We fixed that issue after BobO pointed out that the board-to-board interconnector lost contact due to a temporary production issue. The fix was opening the PLC case and hot gluing the B2B interconnector to keep it in place.

The issue in this thread was also resolved by securing the B2B with hot-glue.
