Title: Modbus RTU via H2-ECOM
Post by: Elecnut33 on May 13, 2009, 02:19:13 PM
I have a DL260 processor and I am trying to communicate (H2-ECOM-100) with an Altivar 31 via modbus(RTU) RS485. I have a Connexium TSXETG100 ethernet gateway that I am using to convert the ethernet comms to the RS485 modbus. I cannot seem to get the commands through to the inverter.

Can anyone offer any advice or sample programs that might explain how to do this?

Thanks.

The H2-ECOM100 has to be configured using NetEdit (free software). The H2-ECOM100 has to have a Peer-to-peer table in it that points to the Connexium TSXETG100 ethernet gateway's IP address. Then you use the RX/WX (or IBox ECRX/ECWX) instructions in the DL260 to read and write.

Also, the H2-ECOM100 does true Modbus TCP, not Modbus RTU on TCP.
