I installed the latest 2.9 on a Windows 10 PC, and the .dmd is still associated with the 2.8 version. I tried a install/repair of the 2.9 and it still is associated with the 2.8.
Can you direct me to the Key in the registry where the path is stored.
Thanks

Designer does not associate files by extension since you can have multiple installations of Designer at one time (e.g. is this .dmd file a 2.7 version? 2.8? 2.9?)
There's a way for you to associate that extension permanently to a specific version, but it must be done by hand.
This is an old thread, but it provides the basic steps for associating an extension with a specific .exe program. Read all the posts since they discuss the process along with some mis-steps along the way.
