Im trying to turn off my C-More HMI screen after a timeout period, like a screen saver. I don't want the screen to be on all day if no one is using it. I cant find a tutorial that helps with this. It seems like it could be a built in feature in the Cmore. Or the PLC could turn on/off a bit that would signal the Cmore to turn off the screen.
Does anyone know how to do that?

Not sure the PLC can know when the C-more would be inactive or for how long.
The C-more itself should know.
Probably better to ask this question on ADC's Community website (C-more was not developed by Host Engineering).
https://community.automationdirect.com There is a special area for HMI/Industrial Monitors

In Cmore software Go to Setup and Panel manager then general section you can set time till screen saver kicks on. The value of 0 is off or no screen saver. They also have an object to do same as in a button you put on screen. Also internal tags are present for sys inactive time, I have not used this but have seen it. in cmore software open tag name database go to tag name Colum click top to order arrange tags look at internal, I don't known about a bit to turn on screen saver. Like they said put thread on Automation direct site maybe someone will known.
Hope that helps.

If the assumption that screen number not changing means HMI not being used, you can run a timer on the current screen number not changing on the PLC. When the timer goes true, you can enable the screensaver. I've done that on a C-more Micro, I'm not at my computer with my C-more projects, I'll check what I did there later.

In the C-more, you can create tags in Setup Menu, PLC <-> Panel, and in the Do-more create a simple rung as shown.

I did not know about that bit hidden away, I had looked for it in internal tags and never found it, I use built in screen saver timer very easy, easy is good sometimes, LOL. It's nice to learn something new, I thought you should be able to do that just apparently never needed it done that way and never been on that screen actually any of the 3 screens under PLC<->Panel.
Thanks nice to add thinks to your bag of tricks.
