Title: Directsoft 5.3 problem opening existing program files

I just installed the upgrade v5.3 to my existing v5.0 and now I cannot open any of my existing progaming files.  I get an error message that says "Directsoft recognizes the PRJ file but the features or support levels are not installed."  Any ideas?  Windows Vista 32 bit.

The project files are completely compatible, so that is not the problem. The problem is probably that the new install cannot locate the knowledgebase files, so it can't find the "support levels." It sounds funny, but you might want to just try rebooting your PC and try again. If that doesn't do it, then move your projects to somewhere safe (another folder on your PC). Then uninstall DirectSOFT, reboot your PC, and then reinstall it (using the defaults).
