Version 2.7 Do-more Designer is now available. (http://support.automationdirect.com/products/domore.html)
Version 2.7 contains the following new features, including support for the latest BRX Universal Temperature and Universal Analog I/O modules, new BRX Serial Communication expansion modules and POMs, and Active Pad expansion module. View the Updates.pdf (http://forum.hosteng.com/wndm/Updates.pdf) file for complete details about all the new features available for Do-more PLCs in 2.7.
- New BRX Analog Modules:
- BX-04UT and BX-08UT (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-04UT) BRX 4 and 8-channel Universal Temperature Modules where you can configure each channel's signal independently (Thermocouple vs. RTD vs. Thermistor).
- BX-04AD-3 and BX-08AD-3 (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-04AD-3) BRX 4 and 8-channel Universal Analog Input Modules where you can configure each channel's signal independently (Current, Voltage, Unipolar/Bipolar), similar to onboard BX analog inputs.
- BX-04DA-3 and BX-08DA-3 (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-04DA-3) BRX 4 and 8-channel Universal Analog Output Modules where you can configure each channel's signal independently (Current, Voltage, Unipolar/Bipolar).
- BX-2AD2DA-3 and BX-4AD4DA-3 (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-2AD2DA-3) BRX Universal Analog Input/Output Combo Modules (2in/2out and 4in/4out) where you can configure each channel's signal independently (Current, Voltage, Unipolar/Bipolar).
- BX-4UT4DA-3 (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-4UT4DA-3) BRX 4 channel Universal Temperature and 4 channel Universal Analog Output Combo Module where you can configure each temperature channel's signal independently (Thermocouple vs. RTD vs. Thermistor) and each output channel's signal indepedently (Current, Voltage, Unipolar/Bipolar).
- BX-4UT4TD1 (4 Sinking 24VDC Discrete Output) (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-4UT4TD1) and BX-4UT4TD2 (4 Sourcing 24VDC Discrete Output) (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-4UT4TD2) and BX-4UT4TR (4 Relay Discrete Output) (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-4UT4TR) BRX 4 channel Universal Temperature and 4 Discrete Output Combo Modules where you can configure each temperature channel's signal independently (Thermocouple vs. RTD vs. Thermistor).
- New BRX Communication Modules:
- BX-SERIO-2 (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-SERIO-2) BRX RS232 Serial Ports qty 4 w/Flow Control using 5-pin terminal block connections.
- BX-SERIO-4 (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-SERIO-4) BRX RS422 Serial Ports qty 4 using 5-pin terminal block connections.
- New BRX Pluggable Option Modules (POMs):
- BX-P-SER2-TERMFC (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-P-SER2-TERMFC) BRX POM RS232 Serial Port w/Flow Control using 5-pin terminal block connection.
- BX-P-SER422-TERM (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-P-SER422-TERM) BRX POM RS422 Serial Port using a 5-pin terminal block connection.
- New BRX Active Pad Module:
- BX-APAD (http://www.automationdirect.com/pn/doc/spec/BX-APAD) emulates other BRX modules in the I/O configuration of a BRX system. It is configured in software to emulate the address space of a specific BRX module.
- New Instructions:
- STRCOPY - Copy String String group: Copy a single String element or string literal to 1 or more string elements. Available on all Do-more platforms.
- STRCOPYR - Copy Range of Strings String group: Copy a range of Source String elements to a range of Destination String elements. Available on all Do-more platforms.
- RANGECHECK - Value In/Out of Range Analog/Process group: Turn a bit ON or OFF when a numeric element is either In Range or when it is Out Of Range of a High/Low Limit. Available on all Do-more platforms.
- Assign up to 10 of your favorite instructions to the number keys at the top of your keyboard, for User Assignable Hotkeys Ctrl+1 thru Ctrl+0.
- Launch Instruction Specific Tools from Ladder View with 1 Mouse Click. Just float your mouse over the blue wrench in the top right corner of the instruction.
- Edit or view the Device parameter's Device Configuration from any device instruction editor.
- Show Stage Number in margin above Rung Address in Ladder View.
- Horizontal and Vertical Wire drawing commands added to Instruction Toolbox. Just drag-n-drop wires wherever you want.
- When typing a <SPACE> when entering a Nickname, automagically replace the space with an underscore, since spaces are not allowed inside a Nickname.
- When a new Data Block or Heap Item is created, highlight it in the Memory tree in the Project Browser. If it's a structure, its sub-tree is expanded to list out all its structure members.
- Each Program Check Rule now has information in the Help system that describes the specific rule, what the concerns may be, valid reasons it could be ignored, along with ways to re-write the code to make the logic do what you want. Just click on the specific rule and hit F1 to jump to the details for that specific rule in the Help system.
- Rung Comment Edit/Display supports rudimentary text formatting:
