Title: BRX sales

I just saw a list of market share for PLCs in North America. I was really surprised to see that BRX wasn't in the top four! Any ideas what the actual market share is for BRx PLCs?

Almost everyone who has used it, believes that.  Not just within the realm of ADC PLCs, but even against some of the "larger" vendors.

This comes from customers who are familiar with all of them, not just DL customers.

We have BRX/Do-more Evangelists, just not enough of them.   ;D

One thing to note is that nearly all of that sort of "market share" data is garnered from shareholder reports.  If you are a private company, you don't get on the report.

Absolutely.   I've used just about everything. AB PLC-5, SLC-100, SLC 500, Control Logix, Compact Logix, all the Siemens generations, TI 5x0/5x5, Omron, GE Fanuc, Idec, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Eagle Signal, etc. in addition to the Koyo stuff, and still can and do.

But....when the decision's up to me, right now it's either Do-More or Siemens S7.   Do-More is feature competitive with the top players in the market.  Model X might have some feature you lack, but some other feature you have and they don't.  You guys are on par feature-wise at a fraction of the cost.  You deserve to be very proud of what you've done with DM.

I was introduced to plcs in Level 4 electrical training last year. We spent a couple days programming with what i think was control logix software (which isn't free). I also played around with some Horner plc programs at an existing installation. (At least their software is free). In my opinion Do-more is far superior to the other two.
  The ease of online ordering and technical support are a great help too. But the affordability is probably the biggest factor. I'm replacing programmable relays (zelios) with Brx plcs in my installations now, at almost the same price.

Getting ready to do my first motion control project with a BRX. Fabulous results using them for wastewater. Interestingly a US made PLC going in a chinese built machine!
