New, here, if I am in the wrong place to ask, please let me know (gently).
I am trying to help a client create a simple Python script to read status/write control register. The script works perfect with a ModbusTCP simulator, but can't seem to do anything with the real device. Client is using the ModTCP communication card.
Any help is appreciated. If you have ideas that don't really relate to Python, that is ok, I can translate.

If you aren't using this implementation, I would give it a go. People seem to have a lot of luck with it: https://pymodbus.readthedocs.io/en/latest/readme.html
Also if you are using the internal card, you might get more of a response over at the forums at AutomationDirect. Lots of folks over there who have used the above script with success: https://forum.automationdirect.com/
