I have an DO-05DR I want upgrade the firmware, slightly developed delayed here. Need step by step to do this. What I have done so far is downloaded the files from ADC website, was able to load the upgrade part, but I can't seem to load the .bin file, what how do I do next?
Than you.

We here at Host Engineering don't build the DL05 controllers, so we're not the best place to look for help on upgrading the firmware in the unit itself. The best place is over at AutomationDirect.com, their techs should be able to provide you with the needed step-by-step instructions.

Okie dokie,
thanks.
it's just an up grade to use the I-box. I got some instructions from Host Engineering about the files to download from ADC site wich I did but, the .bin thing I can't get to work. I'll call ADC in the morning and see if someone can hold my hand. I don't do alot with compuuters, we have mutual feelings about each other............
Thanks anyway.

Vernon,
I'm the one that sent you the information.
There are only certain ports on the DL05 that you can do this firmware update thing. Basically:
- Start Firmware Update Tool.
- Since you and PCs don't get along, use the Wizard button. ;D
- Select DL05 and press <Next>.
- It now tells you what cable you need. Read, check, press <Next>.
- It now tells you to check the RUN light. Answer the question, press <Next>.
- It now warns you to save your DL05's program if you need to. If not, press <Next>.
- Select the COM port you are using on your PC, press <Next>.
- Select the .BIN file (using Browse to where you stored it), press <Next>.
That's basically how it works. If that fails, you will have to call ADC fershur... like, Mike says, we're not the experts on this. :)

Thanks,
Working on it, I've havn't been able to do anything since that last post.( out of town) been busy, I'm going to try again and see what happens. I used the wizard but, I don't remember any questiions about wich PLC I am using. Again thanks for the help, I'll pay more attention to it this time, it sounds easy and I have over complicated it like I always do. ;D

Well what do you know I finally got it. ;D I did have a slight problem with the com port, kept wanting to use com 6, I don't have a com 6. Had to start everything over with it off line, I was running DS5 while trying to load the firmware. :-[
Thanks for all the help really appreciate it.
