I like the tool.

I wish the column spacing would remember the last use. The window opens to a default size and dragging the window wider expands the columns proportionately which makes some wider than needed but most still too narrow. Double clicking each border spaces them all to fit, but is not remembered once closed. I wouldn't love doing it with a touchpad.

OK, I don't love doing it with a mouse either. ;)

It does remember all that.  I think your installation is on some strange secure settings that is causing your registry and INI file settings to not be written .  Please try this on a vanilla PC and everything should work as expected.

Vanilla PCs with Win 10 don't come easy here. Plus, I never know which failed update (I didn't want) did what to my Win 10 machines and can't afford either one to stop working. So, I'll just live with a Win 7 VM for 2.5. It's a bit more tedious to open that way though.

It sounds like you have IT Nazis.  I would recommend you ask them what could be the issue, since they are probably much more knowledgeable than the rest of us as to what they allow/do not allow on your domain, or on your specific PC.  It's amazing what they have control over.

It's much more likely I did it to myself as I don't have anyone else to blame. But I get sooooo tired of Microsoft deciding they can just take over whenever, load gigabytes of crap on my limited storage and then hose everything up.

At home, I have just preempted them and hosed it myself, thank you.

On my work laptop, in the middle of a big project, I live in constant fear. (Actually, I found I could disable IPv4 on the Win10 host without losing Ethernet on the VMs, which helps.)
