I just bought the remote IO module, nice by the way. I went to
AD website and looked up the brx manual chapter 14 and the attached shows the instruction. Is that correct? I had to click the option to the right to get the remote io to show up. Then i was able to config the remote I/O. the red box they show is something I did to configure my internal ethernet.

Oops, the box slid. I'll try to remember to mark it up tomorrow.

Just in time for us to change the software to a more intuitive approach.
-
I hate word intuitive! Every time I here about an intuitive interface I find it isn?t to me, but probably seems that way to the people that developed it. I try for a discoverable interface. Pushing any button out curiosity should lead you to understanding what it does without causing an unintentional problem.

I feel how you think!
And this is why I am always afraid to even look at things I'm not familiar with while at a customer's site. I know of one brand VFD keypad and one brand servo software that will hose you big time if you just browse the menus.

We talk about "ease of use" vs "ease of understanding". Many things in Do-more are easy to use...once you know how. We're going to be making changes to make the important things more obvious. Our attitude has been that we needed to give you information to "get you over the hump". Our attitude now is that if we are having to give you information we haven't presented it correctly. Or put another way "bulldoze the hump".

bulldoze the hump
That just made my day. lol

Kinda like "ergonomic". Evidently Greek for "rendering something completely useless while 'fixing' something that was never broken (AND charging for it)"
Oh, and add sea salt to that list. Charge more, because it's trendy, but add less because it's expensive. So now I'm paying a premium for treats that aren't as salty as they should be so someone else can feel trendy. [eyeroll]
Common factor: Lord, save me from people trying to "help" me going off half-cocked.

Any idea when you'll release this update?
-
Doc guy just told me he would push it fairly soon with some other updates. So probably in a week or so. Maybe less.
Unless you are talking about Bob's intuitive update to the software. That's probably going to be awhile™.

We've been dedicating most of our weekly DmD status meeting to brainstorming our brave new world. It's been very productive so far, and a nice chunk of this will come together pretty quickly.
