Title: BX-DM1E-18ED23 lost IP adddress.
Post by: Tam1117 on March 28, 2018, 08:28:41 AM
Hi all,

I have 1 C-More and 6 BX-DM1E-18ED23's on Ethernet. Today I just turned power on and
the C-more messages: PLC communication timeout.
Two of the 6 PLC's IP address go back to default!
I know that the IP address is stored in the ROM, so what should we do to prevent this?
Using SETUPIP with $FirstScan?

Thanks.

The IP settings are stored in the same flash memory as the GA, OS, user program, system config, etc, so it is highly unlikely that they just 'lost' the settings without affecting anything else.

You mentioned powering up the PLCs. Did you recently clear them PLC memory and reload them? If the System Settings were cleared when you did that, the Ethernet ports will continue to work until the PLC is power cycled.
