Hey,
I am looking to see if anyone has or is looking to use a BRX Do-More PLC with any IO-Link products. Whether it is EtherNet/IP or Modbus, I am trying to get started on this and am grasping at straws to get started.

Never used BRX with "IO-Link products." But if you have documentation on the IO-Link products, it shouldn't be that difficult to get the CIA (Class, Instance, Attribute) from the documentation and then utilize the EIPMSG instruction in the BRX to talk to it.

I know this is a old post.
Just set up a pair of IO-Link sensors that I read with a H2-DM1E had to have TCP gateway used a Turck and a IO-Link master right at $450 of hardware. A simple MRX command is all it takes to read the senor and I get 16 bits resolution on a Sick DL35 sensor.
A side note AD does not list it but they sell an IO-Link compatible sensor the OPT2011 It a Wenglor OY1P303P0102 you have to know that top get the IODD file for it. If you watch the display that is the number that show up on power any way.
Would there be a IO-Link card in the works for a BRX or H2?

Looking at IO-link sensors right now. We use a lot of sensors, pressure, air flow, water flow, temperature, level, pH, DO, ORP, and others.

The power up parameterization is one of the big reason I was looking at them. Most of the new sensors have to be configured. I hate the 2 AM phone calls because the parts changer (maintenance guy) does not know how to configure it.

I hate programmable sensors. They work fine for a long time until they don't, then nobody remembers what the programming was or how to do it, and for sure can't find the manual. We try to use dumb sensors and do all the scaling in the PLC accessible from the HMI so that changing a sensor is really easy.
