Title: GS4 Durapulse Drive and BRX
Post by: davidbgtx on November 14, 2017, 11:23:40 AM
As stated in the product manual for the Durapulse GS4 drives the Output Frequency Accuracy is
Digital command:  ±0.01%, Analog command:  ±0.1%
So would it be better to use modbus out the RS485 port of the BRX to the RS485 port on the drives, OR a BRX analog out module to the analog ports on the drive, considering accuracy AND communication speed

It is likely to be a wash.

The only time it might make even a slight difference is if you were really dogging the communications port.  Even then it probably isn't going to be much of a difference in speed.

Thanks, I'll guess I'll go with modbus rs 485 to gain the output frequency accuracy.
