Title: H0-ECOM Access to old unit
Post by: WKM on November 22, 2016, 02:07:13 PM
I have an old H0-ECOM, in a new 05, that must have had an IP address set through net edit XP and was working. NetEdit3 will not recognize it. Is there a way to poll for the address or reset it? I tried to reset with the dip switches and also arp -s and the MAC address on a 7 machine, but it seems this was a misunderstanding of what arp could do.
Thanks.

Try Start>Programs>AutomationDirect Tools>IPConfig

That's in XP, but I don't know if it was installed by DS5 or DmD.

If you have IPX, NetEdit 3 will let you setup by MAC Address but you have to select Protocols IPX then Connect to Single Device at which point you enter the MAC Address.
