Title: EDRV100, G soft and Modbus Address 48449-48465

The G-Soft help page has this, but it doesn't appear that G-Soft will work with a EDRV100 to communicate with a GS3 drive. (That would be a really nice feature)

PC to GS-EDRV Cabling
Please refer to the manual that came with your GS-EDRV for details regarding the GS-EDRV Ethernet connection.   Cable diagrams are shown on page 7 of the GS-EDRV manual.
Connecting a GS-EDRV to your network uses standard 10-Base-T Ethernet cables.   Like any device, the right type of Ethernet patch cable to use depends on whether you have a hub or not.


Also it appears that the EDRV100 can only read configuration data but not actual operational parameters like running voltage, current and frequency. (This would also be a nice feature to have)


Finally can I multi-drop more than one GS3 on an EDRV100?

Sorry but we don't write the GSOFT software.

Also, if you are using a Do-more CPU with an Ethernet port and you enable its Ethernet I/O Mastering capability and then obtain the the GS-EDRV100 as a slave, then those parameters are available either directly as structure members or as something you can query the drive using GSREGRD "GSEDrive Register Read" instruction. E.g...

Only available on GS2 or GS3.  Is not available on GS1 (unless there is new firmware).

No, one GS-EDRV100 per GS-drive.

I am guessing that the Do-more is mis-configured.  Check the Do-more I/O Configuration.

In System Configuration, dialog, in the tree, get to
I/O Configuration
Ethernet I/O Master
Your GS-EDRV100

You should see a GS3 like below, but I am guessing that it is currently configured as GS1.

To change the drive type, right click on the drive and the context menu should let you Select Drive Type (pick DURApulse GS3).

The GSREGRD instruction's register selection dialog should also show the Drive type.  The picture below shows the GSREGRD Read GS3 Register dialog box (note the title bar and the P21.10 entry).  A configured GS1 drive will NOT have the P21.10 entry in its dialog.
