Title: Invalid instruction after firmware upgrade
Post by: amezcackle on December 12, 2015, 01:56:26 PM
After updating a Do-More to these versions:

OS 1.4.1
Booter 3.06
FPGA 3.6
Hardware 7B

and performing a power cycle, I get an error message when attempting to load a program with a WX instruction.

These are the errors:

S233, Fri Dec 11 14:57:05 2015, System content changed by Administrator (Program)
S234, Fri Dec 11 14:57:05 2015, Invalid instruction 0xBD000013 at 781.
S235, Fri Dec 11 14:57:05 2015, Program validation failed! Reverted to old program

The program check by Designer is OK. Is this possibly a CPU failure? I haven't tried a new CPU yet. Any Ideas?

Mike

Yuk. This is typically the result of a firmware/DmD version mismatch, but that seems correct. Please make sure that all DIP switches are off, and try again. If it still fails we might have an encoding/validation hole.

I just swapped out the CPU and all is working as it should. I assume a faulty CPU, possible lightening damage.
Thanks

I sent you a PM about this CPU.
