I would like to change out a 450 PLC to a Do-more but I'm one slot short of what I need. If a 205 base had a larger power supply could a Do-More address more than a 9 slot base?

Do-more can handle up to 16 slots in the local base, and Terminator does that, but the DL205 base design is limited to 8 modules.

A larger base for the Do-More would be nice.

We understand. We're looking at options for increasing I/O capacity for Do-more.

205 Do-more can address thousands of I/O using Ethernet I/O. The 450 PLC scan time is very slow compared to Do-more, even with Ethernet I/O. Do you think you could use Ethernet I/O expansion bases (up to 16 slaves)?
Or, are you looking for higher density I/O due to foot-print concerns? I know that the Terminator I/O has some higher density analog and discrete. You could even use this high density Terminator I/O for your Ethernet I/O expansion bases with your 205 local base, if you need the density. Or just have all Terminator I/O with your Terminator T1H-DM1E CPU in the local base and T1H-EBC100 CPU in the expansion bases.

I could use Ethernet I/O. It turns out I was able to split the 450 into two PLCs. A Do-More is doing all of the control work and a 250 is collecting a few analogs signals. This is the last 450 at my plant. The conversion utility worked well.

I don't think I'd personally like using a 16-slot 250. It'd be 4" high x 2' long. If I have that much I/O in one rack, I'd rather see a taller, higher I/O count per module option about the size of the 405 or AB SLC.

There would appear to be a D2-64TD1 being sold somewhere in the world (as well as a D2-265.) I could have used that 64 pt DC In last year. The 265 would have been nice before the Do-more came along. It might still be every now and again, but I wonder if the cost wouldn't be excessive in comparison to the H2-DM1E?

64 point modules couldn't pass UL due to temp rise.
