I have also posted this at Automation Direct's forum.
I tried unsuccessfully to use the subject combination with the protocol in the EA9 set as Do-more Ethernet. Hopefully I am just missing something. I am wanting to keep the HMI off the Do-more ethernet port as it is already being used for Terminator I/O and Modbus TCP/IP.
I want access to N,R and C registers.
If possible I would like to have the ECOM100 and C-more at 192.168.3.xxx while the D0-more port is at 192.168.0.xxx due to the Modbus TCP/IP devices.
The C-more works fine at 192.168.0.xxx and tied to the Do-more switch, but ...

I have an EA9 and an EA7 both talking to a H2-DM1E via an ECOM100. It works great. I am running them all on the same subnet though, but don't see why it would matter.

I'll try again in the morning then. You are using the Do-more protocol I take it? As to the subnet, I was just hoping to keep the PLC's port off of any plant networks at some future point since it is controlling Ethernet I/O. I have a simple crossover cable EA9 to ECOM100 - no switch.

Yes, I am using the Do-More protocol. What are your gateways set to?

Thank you plcnut,
I have got to get this shipped so I updated the ECOM100 firmware to 4.0.2120.
Set the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0. Put the ECOM100 and EA9 back to 255.255.3.xxx and it is working. (I may have had the IP addresses set the same or ???) Sorry I didn't have time to figure out exactly what I did wrong. I just did all this and it worked.
Seriously though, knowing you had it working helped hugely!
