I have emailed Host tech support, but am posting here too.
I am trying to prove out a new system and have hit a MAJOR snag. I have minimized the system to just a 205 rack, H2-DM1E, ethernet switch, T1K-01AC, T1H-EBC100, T1H-CTRIO and T1F-08AD-2 (OR T1F-8AD4DA-2).
I have the latest software and firmwares loaded (checked websites to be sure). I have no ladder etc. programmed any longer.
As long as there is no Analog Out module, all is fine. Analog in is OK, Digital I/O is OK.
I have substituted all components except the CTRIO with no change in symptoms.
Problem: CTRIO "disappears" if AD module is added to EBC100 "rack". This is with it either left or right of the CTRIO and only the power supply, EBC100 and the 2 modules. The CTRIO will flash the OK LED a few times on power up then go to red ERR LED solid by itself. Do-more Designer shows an empty slot where the CTRIO is ONLY in I/O mapping. Everywhere else it simply does not exist.
The CTRIO will pull up in "Monitor CTRIO module" and shows Startup in red for mode with bogus numbers for OS and booter. Note, I can only get this monitor to open if I MANUALLY configure the modules. The I/O System tree shows the CTRIO as configured but not installed.
HELP!

Bump! I really need help here!

We saw something like this in testing and I want to think it was the analog module. What order are the modules in? When you move the CTRIO to the front of the chain, does it change the behavior?

Please contact ADC technical support at 1(800) 633-0405 about this issue.

ADC is checking into this for me. Hopefully we can get a resolution real soon as this needs to be assembled and shipped.
But as for the module order, any order fails to work, it is always the CTRIO that errors and drops out of existence. I have updated all software and firmware. I have swapped everything including bases, EBC100s, CPUs and power supplies except the T1H-CTRIO of which I only have the one.
Thanks.

Thanks (though I have not heard anything further yet.)
