Title: Do-More best to use EBC100 or ECOM100
Post by: davidbgtx on August 22, 2014, 01:02:24 PM
Got my first DM1E,looking to replace WinPLC/ERM100/EBC100 system. Should I stick with the EBC100's in my expansion/remote racks or is it better to use ECOM100. Also, can DM1E talk to GS-EDRV (the old one not the new GS-EDRV100)?

I asked the same question and the answer was that EBCs running from the on-board Ethernet port is considered the standard remote i/O for Do-More.  As such, the performance will be better, and it will be easier to set up and easier to use in ladder.

Not using the built-in Ethernet I/O.  We highly recommend that you get a GS-EDRV100 because it works natively.  Inside the .PDF file below, it discusses how GS-EDRV100s work natively within Do-more.  Look starting at page 13 (Ethernet I/O), and then specifically the top of page 17 where it talks about GS-EDRV100 support.
