How hard would it be to add a data read button to the Do-More designer.
Went I'm testing new communication links I normally open a data window and select edit, then type in a copy of the status numbers into the edits column. When the communication happens I can quickly see if the data is correct or has changed. We are currently moving 50 sites from a DL PLC acting as a data collector to a Do-More and a data read button would save me a lot of time.

So what you want is a "Copy current value to the Edit column" command?

Wow, "copy current values to Edit column" and a save memory values to .csv button would have saved me tons of time at my last job doing documentation!

Copy current to edit makes great sense, and wouldn't be hard.

Yes the current values to the edit column, then when communication occurs I can see what if anything changed.

That would be a handy button.
It would be *nice* if we could select the rows that we want to copy, and then click the button, versus clicking a button and copying ALL the rows.

We can make this work just like the "SINGLE" WRITE button. If you select a group of 3 rows, then those 3 rows will be "written" when you hit the SINGLE WRITE button (vs. Write All). So this feature would behave similarly.

Perfect! (I use the 'multiple select'/'single write' feature often).
