Had one I never seen before I could not see any inputs started with 32 bit input then then tried an another 32 bit card same thing then a sixteen bit that has led the leds would not light up. tried a new rack still the same thing. I then swap the Do-More out and all started working. Do I have a failure or is there some setting causing this.

Possible failure. Is the CPU new and has it ever worked before? Just speculation, but it sounds like the base reset line may be permanently asserted.

Never been power up but we have it a few months the project was put on hold till now

Email us at support@hosteng.com and we'll arrange an RMA. We'll do a failure analysis and get you a working unit. Please mention this post so they'll know what it's about.

DLTimmons,
One is on the way. I sent you an email with details.

Thanks

DLTimmons, received your H2-DM1E and duplicated the failure mode you indicated. It could not read my 32-point input module's status. It could read the 8-point module's status just fine. I took it to the design engineer's lab and he is currently investigating. He believes it will be a simple explanation like a bad solder joint or something. I'll post what he finds.

I did not try a 8 point input. It did not work with a 16 or 32 point input would not even light the LED's on a 16 point input

The problem was a bad U20. Technically pins 6 and 7 were generating a 2MHz pulse on the BIRZ line (reset line). This was essentially resetting the modules across the backplane. Most likely the reason the 32-bit or 16-bit input modules weren't working is they are a bit slower responding from being reset and were basically staying reset. The 8-bit module I had was probably fast enough to get some data in.
We replaced U20 and all is well.
