Title: can not get communation from windows 8 to Domore PLC

I have a Toshiba laptop with windows 8. Can not connect to domore PLC H2-DM1

Connecting via USB? Or H2-ECOM100? Or serial?

From my testing, connecting via USB to DoMore with Windows 8 requires you to startup the DoMore Designer software and then connect the USB cable.  This will usually work.  Connecting the cable before starting the software almost always results in failure.
