Title: User Created Data Blocks
Post by: Rastus81 on March 17, 2013, 10:01:07 AM
Hello All,

I am having trouble exporting some tags to a cmore hmi.

The tags are real elements from a user created memory block, for use in a looping task.

When i import the tags in the cmore software i get

"Unable to convert address
reason: Address is not valid or unable to load dll"

The plc is a domore.

Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Hopefully someone with more experience will correct me if I tell you wrong, but as I understand it, C-more can not access user defined memory types.  (From my personal experience, c-more tends to get flaky when dealing with UDT structures too.)  If you go into the C-more Tag Database and attempt to manually create the link there, I'm betting that you will not see your user defined memory type as an available option.  In a recent project, I needed the c-more to read $UTC, but the c-more wouldn't do it.  To get around the problem, I simply took the $UTC value on the PLC and wrote it to memory registers that were of a type that the c-more could read.  When the c-more started displaying incorrect values for some of my UDT structures, I set up a section of ladder that copied the UDT structure members to V's and then pointed the c-more to those locations.  It's a pain, but it works.
