Title: Operating system

I have a customer that contacted me and his boss wants to know what operating system all of their PLCs are running on. The only PLCs that we have placed at their location were installed years ago and are the D2-260. Can anyone provide me with an answer to this question?

DirectSoft the latest ver is 6.3

I appreciate your response JW. However that is the programming software. They were asking for the operating system. Maybe they did want the programming software.

If you are asking about the firmware version, that can be read with DirectSoft. If you asking what OS is used in the firmware, I'd say they are running bare metal...no OS. That is a Koyo product though, so I don't know for certain.

D2-260 runs Bare Metal.  Some of the newer Koyo stuff runs on a RTOS I think.
