Transferring Comm Links from one PC to another
« on: November 10, 2022, 03:04:30 PM »
Is there a quick way to transfer my Comm links from one PC to another?  Im now using another Laptop in the field and I really dont want to have to manually insert hundreds of comm links back into my software. Is there a quick way to do it? I tried copying the do more folders from program files and the program data folders to no avail.

Not sure which software package you are asking about...
  • Do-more Designer
The file is called DmDComm.rst.  It is located in version specific folder below %public%\Documents\Do-more\.  Look
    %public%\Documents\Do-more\Designer2_9\bin
    %public%\Documents\Do-more\Designer2_8\bin
    etc.

  • DirectSOFT
The file is called CommServ.rst.  It is located in the folder
    %public%\Documents\DirectSOFT6\bin

Just copy it to the same folder on the other PC.
