« on: October 13, 2014, 03:57:51 PM »
A complete list of all the various Hot Keys (aka Accelerator Keys) within Do-more Designer are below.

The list is organized by
  • UI Context (e.g. Ladder View vs. Data View)
  • Command (e.g. Cut)
  • Key Strokes (e.g. Ctrl+X)
  • Primary Key (e.g. X)

This link is to the Adobe .PDF version of the file:

This link is to the MS-Word .DOC version of the file (sortable by the different columns)

Designer 2.7 added the ability to assign hot keys
Ctrl+1 thru Ctrl+0
to ANY instruction.

Some people really like the Delta contact and Not contact, and have been asking for hotkeys for them since Rel 1.  Function keys have already been utilized for just about everything, and didn't want to complicate it (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F2).

Since we already utilize various Function keys (F2, Shift+F2, Ctrl+F2), then reserving the Ctrl+1 thru Ctrl+0 number keys just below the Function keys seemed mechanically close to the Function key hotkeys.

We also realized that whatever we assigned, people would ask, "can you tie hot keys to the TMR instruction?  CNT instruction?"  Yes, we can.  But one person's CNT box is another person's MATH box.  It's a losing proposition.

So rather than hard coding them, just let customers decide how those 10 hot keys will be assigned.  Most customers like MATH.  Some customers like SG.  Make Ctrl+1 thru Ctrl+0 whatever you wish.

Right click on the Instruction Toolbox and select Assign Instruction Hotkeys in the context menu.
