ERM not found
« on: May 02, 2017, 01:15:31 PM »
I have an existing ERM network that is working fine. There is a H2-ERM and 3 EBCs on the network. I am adding an analog input to one of the bases so I need to modify the ERM. When I connect to the network I cannot see the ERM and one of the EBCs. This is an old system and I'm guessing that the ERM and the one EBC do not have an IP address so they do not show up in NETEDIT or ERM workbench, no IPX. Can someone confirm my guess and suggest a workaround?

Yes they did not have IP on the same subnet. I could not get the utility "IPConfig" to work with the ERM. I was able to find an XP box so I could use IPX and get them set to the correct subnet.
Problem resolved.

You could have changed the IP4 Subnet Mask to 192.168.0.0 or even 0.0.0.0
My computer is set to the 192.168.0.0 be cause I use a different subnet for the PLCs than the company subnet.
