Built-in nicknames

I don't use nicknames, but I'd like to leave them turned on for display purposes for the rare case where I might want to use one. This obviously turns on display of nicknames for internally-defined registers such as SP0. Since I don't like the predefined nickname, I've written a Description, and I obviously don't need both, so I delete the nickname using the docs editor but it still shows in Ladder View. Was gibt?

I see what you mean. Directsoft REALLY wants thos nicknames and regenerates them. Even when you delete it in the editor and it no longer shows there it's still in the ladder logic. Sneeky.
Fortunately for me though, I don't mind.

Yes, SYSTEM nicknames are auto-generated. We will let you override their nicknames with your own, but you cannot "delete" them. You might try overriding them with combinations of spaces, dots, but this is a hack at best.
