duvals, we have seen this before and it is a Windows System file that DirectSOFT v5.x is using that is crashing. In fact, it is crashing before it even gets to our own code.

We are in the process of troubleshooting this and trying to figure out exactly which Windows System file it is and come up with a viable solution.
Unfortunately, so far, the only 100% fix has been one of 2 things:
- Uninstall/reinstall the Windows OS!

- Install DirectSOFT v4.0 and use it instead.

But, take a look at DirectSOFT FAQ0212 (
http://www.hosteng.com/FAQFiles/DirectSOFT.htm; scroll to the bottom). There are some things there that you might try other than reloading the Windows OS.
Let us know what (if any) works.
