I'm wanting to send pulse commands to a CTRIO for stepper drive control. I will be interfacing through a ProfiBus T1H-PBC module, but not sure of the proper formatting or addressing from the Siemens PLC. Is this possible and what do I need to do?

Yes it is. Of course, you would use Step7 software to configure the T1H-PBC as a slave. The T1H-PBC has a .GSD file that you just put in the proper folder of Step7 and you can then drop and drag that to your Profibus network configuration in Step7. Then double-click on the T1H-PBC icon on your network and then you can add modules to it (e.g. T1H-CTRIO). From there you can map the I/O of the CTRIO (44 bytes IN, 52 bytes OUT) wherever you want in your S7 PLC.

The mapping is shown in CTRIO Workbench.
