Remote I/O

Never did AD remote I/O.
Looking for any info on remote I/O setup. I have an existing system using a D4-450 PLC in an 8 slot base.
I have one slot left. Can I put in a H4-ERM with ethernet to a H4-EBC in a remote 4 slot base?????
