SmileyI need to change from a 440 cpu to a 450 cpu in a project I have two questions: first can I do this or do I need to rewrite the programand? Second what do I need to do?  I have look all over and can see nothing as far as changing plc types.

While offline, obviously - 'PLC' - 'Offline Setup'. Then choose the 450.

Compare the memory setup and system registers. It won't automatically change them for you.

An output is a PLC's way of getting its inputs to change.

Good you are going from a 440 to 450, you do not loose any functionality, but gain more. Like it was said, you will have to change the link setup. If you were going from 450 to 440 or 430 you will have problems.
