NetEdit nor DirectSOFT nor the ECOM itself
"know" that the Ethernet switch is wireless or wired. None of them
"care" either. The reason NetEdit may not be able to see over wireless could be 2 things:
- NetEdit, by default, doesn't wait long enough for the connection to accomodate the wireless time delay, or...
- The wireless router is blocking broadcasts, which NetEdit uses to make the list.
Regardless, you could still make a connection using DirectSOFT (whether the device shows up in NetEdit or not). You can manually enter the IP address of the ECOM you wish to talk to in the Link in DirectSOFT. The only thing you might have to change is to increase the Timeout values and/or Retries in the link due to the delays over wireless.
