25khz output (what happened to 50 Khz)

In my (albeit old manual) it reads Pulse Output Control 20hz-25khz (50 khz if using only one channel). It will only go to 25Khz even though I'm only using one channel. Download new manual and it reads 20hz -25khz. What happenned? Can I "down-date" firmware to recover this older feature, and if so what are the negatives? Thanks in advance.
P.S. using it to simulate an encoder and need 30 khz.

The CTRIO engineer will have to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 50KHz option was removed because we couldn't guarantee a flawless (i.e. smooth) output without stalling if the CTRIO's inputs happen to be configured to do scan-intensive things like Edge Timing and Rate Scaling. Also, CTRIO Workbench configuration became very complex if this feature was allowed... something that I don't think seemed favorable at the time.
As far as downgrading to an earlier version, I don't think a CTRIO firmware version ever made it out the door that could do this. I'm pretty sure that it was prematurely stated in the manual and then quickly removed.

Well, not the answer (pipe dream) I was hoping for. Thanks for your response, I will seek another alternative.

There is hope in the near future, however.
We are currently working on a faster version of the CTRIO (at present it is called CTRIO2)... soon to be released. Rumor has it that it will read 1MHz input and output upwards of probably more than 300KHz!

If you have pulse output capability, can you add
the ability of Dynamic accelaration and Deaceleration ramps from the PLC program

That too is being added. Of course, all this stuff is subject to change as the design engineers see fit... but this is in the forefront of discussion of things to be added.
