Any plans to introduce an ASI Master/Scanner that fits into the DL205 backplane?

The only way I can see to use an ASI network now is to use an ASI master/Modbus gateway in conjunction with an ECOM card.  Because the ECOM card requires the RX / WX instrctions to come from the ladder logic I think the I/O update would too slow.

we don't have any current plans for buliding one of these. and you're correct that using an asi-gateway and an ecom100 -for modbus rcp/ip communication - would work, but the update rate is tied to the plc scan.

definitely contact automationdirect.com and make your request known to them. we get a majority of our engineering direction from them, so if enough folks them ask fo rit, they'll ask us to build it. we're very capitalist that way.  Wink
